Description of the ESRS from the internet – “The ESRS (European Sustainability Reporting Standards) are mandatory EU rules under the CSRD for consistent, comparable corporate sustainability reporting, covering Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) topics using a “double materiality” view (impacts on company & impacts on planet/people). They consist of two cross-cutting standards (ESRS 1 & 2) and ten topical standards (E1-E5 for Environment, S1-S4 for Social, G1 for Governance) that detail disclosures on strategy, governance, risks, and impacts, aiming to provide transparency for investors and stakeholders.”
