SUMMARY:Water Quality Monitoring and Management
DESCRIPTION:Carin Bosman (CBSS) and Nelda Smith (Pretoria University) in association with the Water Institute of South Africa (WISA)\, have developed a new Training Course in Water Quality Monitoring and Management. \nWater Quality Monitoring is essential to ensure Good Water Governance\, and the Course therefore addresses the basics of water quality monitoring as described in the course description\, including: \nthe basic sciences (hydrology\, geology\, and chemistry) of surface and groundwater resources; \nthe design of a water quality monitoring programme\, including monitoring locations\, frequencies\, and the selection of water quality monitoring variables; ; \nthe importance of field data collection; \nthe setting of limit values for various types of water resources; \nthe interpretation of water quality monitoring results; \nthe visualisation of water quality monitoring results; \ncommunication of water quality monitoring results to non-expert stakeholders\, etc. \nFor more information write to:  info@cbss.co.za
